How to decide
One question settles it: do you want the ashes home? If yes, choose individual cremation. If you are at peace without them, communal is a dignified and more affordable farewell.
There is no deadline on the decision about keepsakes. Paw prints must be requested at booking (they are taken before cremation), but urn upgrades and ash jewellery can wait months.

What does private pet cremation actually mean?
With us: the chamber holds one pet. Nothing else. In parts of the industry "private" can mean pets separated by space in a shared chamber, so always ask the provider directly: is my pet alone in the chamber?
Do I get ashes back with communal cremation?
No. With communal cremation several pets are cremated together and the ashes are respectfully scattered. You receive a memorial certificate. If getting the ashes back matters to you, you need individual cremation.
Is communal cremation a lesser choice?
No. It's a dignified, honest choice made by many families, and it costs less because it uses the chamber differently. The only thing to be certain of is that ashes are not returned.
Can I still get a paw print with communal cremation?
Yes. Paw and nose prints are taken before cremation, so they are available with either service. Ask at booking.
How do you prove the ashes are my pet with private cremation?
A stainless-steel ID tag assigned at collection, verified before and after cremation by two staff, sealed with the ashes and recorded on a signed certificate. You can also attend the cremation at no extra cost.
