How Do I Know I Receive My Pet's Ashes?

It's the question everyone wants to ask, and few providers answer plainly. So here is exactly how we track your pet from your door to the urn - every step, every verification, in order.

The short answer: a unique stainless-steel ID tag is assigned at collection, stays physically with your pet through the entire process, and is verified before and after cremation. One pet, one chamber, always.

The chain of care, step by step

ID tag assigned at collection

When we collect your pet - from your home or your vet - a unique stainless-steel tag is assigned and physically attached. You receive the tag number by SMS.

Verification: Tag number confirmed with you in writing at collection.

Logged transfer to our facility

Your pet travels in a dedicated, refrigerated compartment. Arrival is logged against the tag number.

Verification: You can call at any time and ask exactly where your pet is.

Held individually, verified before cremation

Your pet rests in individual refrigerated care. Before cremation, the tag is checked against the booking by a second staff member.

Verification: Two-person check, recorded on the cremation log.

One pet, one chamber

The chamber is verified empty before your pet enters, and only your pet is cremated. The stainless tag survives the process alongside them.

Verification: The same physical tag comes out with the ashes.

Sealed with certificate

Ashes are transferred to your chosen urn or scatter tube, sealed with the tag, and a signed certificate of individual cremation is prepared.

Verification: Certificate records tag number, date, and operator.

Hand-returned to you

A member of our team - never a courier - brings the ashes to your door or your vet clinic, usually within 5 working days of collection.

Verification: You verify the tag number matches your SMS.

Want more certainty? Attend the cremation.

You're welcome to be present for your pet's cremation at no extra cost. Many families find it reassuring; others prefer not to. Either is completely fine - just mention it when booking.

What "private" means here - and what to ask elsewhere

In the industry, "private" sometimes means pets separated by space in a shared chamber. When we say individual cremation, we mean the chamber holds one pet. If you're comparing providers, these questions will tell you everything:

"Is my pet cremated alone in the chamber, or separated within a shared chamber?"

"What physically identifies my pet through the process, and does it survive cremation?"

"Can I attend the cremation?"

"Who returns the ashes - your team or a courier?"

How long does it take to get the ashes back?

Usually 5 working days from collection. We tell you when each step happens, and you can call for an update at any time.

What do the ashes come back in?

A hand-turned timber urn or a scatter tube - your choice at booking. You can also upgrade or add keepsakes like paw prints and ash jewellery later.

Can the ashes be returned to my vet instead?

Yes. Many families prefer to collect from their clinic. We deliver on our regular clinic runs with the same tag verification.

Is this tracking included, or an extra?

Included. The ID tag, logging, two-person verification, and certificate are part of every individual cremation at no additional cost.
