Cat Cremation in Ballarat
Ballarat cats have perfected the wood-fire orbit, moving only when the heat does. We collect across Ballarat, Buninyong and Daylesford with the same care as the capitals.
A gentler scale, the same rules
Cats get the full process, not a smaller version of it: stainless ID tag attached at collection, the number texted to you before we leave, a chamber verified empty before your cat enters it, and a two-person check on the tag before and after.
What changes is the scale and the touch. A smaller timber urn or scatter tube, a finer ink print if you request one at booking (whisker impressions come out beautifully), and a collection style suited to how cats lived: quiet, unhurried, wrapped in their own blanket.
We collect across Ballarat, Wendouree, Sebastopol, Buninyong, Creswick and surrounds, from houses, apartments and every vet clinic in the area.
There is no rush. Move them somewhere cool on a soft towel, take the time you need, and call when you are ready. We talk you through everything on the phone.
The first-hours guide →Tell the clinic "Pet Farewell will collect". We coordinate directly, including with after-hours emergency clinics, and return ashes to the clinic or your door.
Vet-arranged cremation →Only prints need deciding at booking. Urn upgrades, engraving and ash jewellery can wait months; many families come back when they are ready.

Is a cat cremated with the same process as a dog?
Identical process, scaled with care: the same stainless ID tag, the same two-person verification, the same one-animal-one-chamber rule. A cat is never grouped with other animals in an individual cremation.
How much ash comes back from a cat?
Usually around half a cup to a cup. It surprises some families how little it is, so we say it up front. The urn is sized for a cat, and a scatter tube is available if you plan to let them go somewhere they loved.
Do you collect cats from apartments and units in Ballarat?
Yes, a large share of our Ballarat cat collections are from units and apartments. One person comes up, quietly and without signage, and we handle lifts, stairs and building access without fuss.
My cat hated travel. Do they have to go in a carrier?
No carrier, no cage. Your cat travels wrapped in a soft blanket (yours if you wish, and it comes back) in a dedicated, refrigerated compartment. The stress they hated in life plays no part in this.
What does cat cremation cost in Ballarat?
Cats sit at the gentler end of weight-based pricing: individual cremation with ashes returned from $480, communal from $280. The phone quote is the whole price, collection and urn included.
